  • Stourport Winter Head
    The STOURPORT WINTER HEAD details are out... see http://www.stourportboatclub.co.uk/ Details should also appear on the club notice-board shortly. The Llandaff entries deadline will be the 16th of Jan. Completed entry forms / cheques / etc. to Andrew Hollins or Simon Spiller to be collated and sent.
  • Thursday Nights at LRC
    Thursday night is Club Night. We try to keep every Thursday evening free from functions for a social club evening. The Club Captain and Chairman will usually be in the bar, which also seems to happen on Sunday lunch times. Find out what is going on, keep in touch and entertain your friends.
  • LRC Christmas Dinner
    The club will be hosting it's infamous Christmas Dinner in the function room, Sunday 17th December. The price is a bargain £7.50 (Reductions for children) and this includes a traditional Christmas dinner, carols, a Christmas present and if we're very lucky Andy Janssen's alternative "Queen's speech".

    There's are lists on the notice board and behind the bar for you to sign up - pay on the day.
  • Weights Room Induction
    If anybody is interested in an induction to the weights room (and you shouldn't use the weights room unless you have had one), then there are places available Friday (15th Dec). There is a poster going up on the club notice board where you can sign up for the most convenient slot.

    Friday night may not be every body's preferred time but Ciaran is giving up his free time to help the squad out so please make the most of the opportunity.
  • Quiz & Curry
    There is to be a quiz and curry night Saturday 9th December in the bar at the rowing club. It starts at 7.30pm and the price is a bargain £5. It would be great to see as many there as possible.
  • New Member Induction Day
    If you are interested in joining the club, come along to the New Member Induction Day on Saturday 28th October at 9.30am in the bar. Come in your training clothes so you can try out some of the facilities.
  • Captain's Dinner
    Saturday 28th October is The Captain's Dinner. A great chance to dress up have a great night. If you are coming and haven't submitted a photograph of yourself as a baby for the "guess the baby" competition Mandy would love to hear from you. She is particularly looking for photos of men as so far she has only received 2. You're a pretty ugly bunch but I'm sure some of you were cute when you were little eh?
  • New boats
    The Bishop of Llandaff officiated at a special naming ceremony for LRC's 2 newest boats, "The Bishop of LLandaff" & "The City of Llandaff" Thanks to all the members who attended even if you only came for the cakes & refreshing drinks on such a lovely day

    Both boats took to the water despite one falling from the trestles and breaking a rudder. Luckily it was quickly fixed.

  • Thursday Night BBQ
    On Thursdays, weather permitting, Kath Smith will be starting the summer Llandaff RC BBQs. For those who are new to the club, Kath puts on a BBQ on the balcony on a Thursday night during the summer to encourage people to come up to the bar and socialise. It's a great way to get to know more people in the club, so come along & enjoy yourself.
  • BBC Regatta 2006
    The BBC Regatta is coming again this year on Saturday June 10th. There's usually about 20 crews so we're looking for some coxes to train them. If you would like to try your hand at coaching enthusiastic beginners contact Aled@Llandaffrc.com and he will arrange it. Training starts the week beginning 15th, May.
  • SPRING FOURS - SATURDAY 8th APRIL 2006
    Thanks to all those who turned up for the Spring 4's at short notice. After the usual stern competition, congratulations to captain Russell Bailey's crew on a great victory earning cox Jack Evans his very first pot!
