Llandaff Rowing Club

Founded 1946

Llandaff Rowing Club sits on the banks of the River Taff and has a 1200 metre stretch of water at its disposal. This wide section of river includes one sharp bend and a weir near the Club house at the end of the downstream section.

The main boathouse houses a large fleet of boats, which consist of eights, coxed fours, coxless fours, quads and doubles. There are also two smaller boat sheds, one which is home to doubles, pairs, and singles, and the other for private boats. Our long landing stage is able to accommodate several boats at any one time.

On site is a weights room containing an excellent range of multi-gym equipment and a free weights area to help with strength and conditioning. A separate gymnasium above the boathouse is used for circuit training, aerobic classes or similar activities. In addition 12 Concept II rowing ergometers and spin bikes are available for use.

The Club house also has male and female changing rooms with lockers and hot showers.

A selection of Llandaff’s land training facilities – the weights room, gymnasium and ergos – are available to non-rowing members on a fitness membership package. Please visit  ‘Join the Club’ for further information.
